This week’s Business Builder Report titled “First Impression Marketing” is about image quality. The Write to Prosper section below has a few tips about cover creation. Finally, I’m running an ad for a Joint Venture at the end of the newsletter. This type of JV is set up for partners to build lists and members to get free products. This particular ad is for partners and the event is scheduled to start September 1 so there’s not much time left before launch. Next week the link will be for members to sign up to lists and get the free stuff.
* INSIDER INFO THAT CREDIT COMPANIES DON’T WANT PUBLISHED! *
Let’s face it, credit companies like to keep you in debt because that’s how they earn their living - leveraging your ability to pay a debt. Getting out of debt then is learning smarter ways to use the system. The problem is that the most obvious ways of debt relief are based on trying to maintain the lifestyle that caused the problem in the first place.
The good news is that if you have an income you can get out of debt. The hard reality is that you cannot spend more than you earn. The tipping point is where interest on a debt is greater than your ability to pay given your current income. Sub-prime mortgages are a good example of how a change in interest rate can change your ability to pay off debts.
The single most effective way to eliminate debt is to change the terms and conditions. Assuming you cannot break the conditions of a contract, what’s left is the term or how long it will take to pay off the debt. What credit companies don’t want published are the many ways conditions outside the contract can be used to pay the debt off faster.
For example, some conditions that can be changed that have no bearing on the contract are your spending habits. Just stop buying non essentials period. Cancel all subscriptions that do not shelter or feed you. Live a Spartan life until the tipping point is in your favor, income is greater than expense, and you can leverage your income surplus to eliminate your debt faster.
If you think you are on the right side of the tipping point, can make some lifestyle changes, and are looking for clear, concise strategies of using many of the obvious ways of debt relief smarter, then the “Dead Simple Guide To Getting Out Of Debt” may be just the book you need to take back control of your financial situation today.

WRITE to PROSPER
The cover of an ebook is one of the challenges a writer faces in preparing a manuscript for publication. Whether you do it yourself or get someone else to do it for you, here are a few considerations that can help you along.
The cover of your ebook will appear in your pdf document and then again at different sizes and shapes for other purposes in your marketing campaign. It is best to compose the cover at the largest size because it will look better when it is reduced. Images that are enlarged can lose detail and become fuzzy or pixilated depending upon the magnification.
The most common size for an ebook is letter size or 8.5 x 11 inches because that is a standard paper size handled by most desktop printers. So your first cover art is best designed to fit the letter size paper dimensions.
The resolution or pixels per inch is usually set at 75 ppi and the file size of a cover then ends up between 1.5 to 2.5 Mb before compression. The resolution is set this low because it produces an acceptable image on most computer screens. The only reason for higher image resolution is if you are considering publishing your book in print.
Besides the cover image, the most important part is the title. The size of your book title should be large enough to be readable when the cover is reduced to 100 pixels in height. If you can read it on your screen at the smallest size then anything larger will be much easier to read.
For an example of different cover sizes you can browse the waymoreStore. The smallest images are 100 px in height with the product cover appearing at 2x the size on the product description page. If you click on the picture or ‘larger image’ link on any product description page you can see the cover enlarged to 400 px in height.

First Impression Marketing
In most cases, electronic image quality is associated with characteristics of clarity or resolution, color or depth of field, and aspect ratio. So here are some things to consider when you are selecting an image for your marketing project.
Pictures can be a marketer’s boon or bane depending on quality and association. Assuming the picture you are considering to use in promotion is royalty free or has a clear provenance and does not conjure something inappropriate to the marketing message, then what’s left is to focus on quality.
