The capital of California is Sacramento and there are many wonderful cities to live in near the Sacramento area. A couple of the towns that are great choices to reside are named Roseville and Rancho Cordova. This article will look into the different things that these two places have to offer and why they are nice places to live, other than being located in beautiful northern California. Roseville has a strong economy in it with a lot of retail businesses in it. It is the spot of one of the biggest Auto malls in the country that assists the local community in addition to being known for a significant amount of shopping options. This city ranked as having the 11th highest retail sales in the entire state of California last year with its many shopping choices. It has a great a regional shopping destination where people traveling there go shopping. The largest destination is the Westfield Galleria which is continuing to grow and across the street from that is another retail destination named the Fountains. They are hoping once the economy improves, so will things in this wonderful town of Roseville.

There are many other big employers in Roseville like Hewlett-Packard, Kaiser Permanente, Union Pacific Railroad, and Sutter Roseville Medical Center employing thousands of people. In 1988 Roseville decided to undergo a revitalization of the downtown area fixing a lot of the historic buildings that were in bad shape.

Rancho Cordova is a young community that was incorporated in 2003 and already has a population of 60,000 residents. It was named for the Cordova Vineyards that were located there. It has a wonderfully diverse ethnic combination of residents and many famous professional baseball players also, hailed from Rancho Cordova such as Chris Bosio and Max Venable. Another notable resident is Lester Holt on the Today Show.
