A farm in Farmville is nothing without hay bales. To be creative, hay bales can be arranged in different stacks or patterns.

With Farmville, hay bale stacking is not an actuality. The code doesn't actually allow stacking, but by placing the hay bales in strategic locations, it can appear as though the hay is stacked in nice little rows.

The trick to doing it is placing bales of hay in such a manner that top right corners of every hay bale in the bottom row are touching the corners on the bottom left of every hay bale in the row on top.

Then you'll want to place extra hay bales to fill in the gaps on the right and left sides, so the ends are even. Just add two to the right hand side on the lowest row, and then add one to the right hand side on the second row, and keep going in that direction, etc.

After that, add two bales immediately behind the hay bale on the bottom left, and one immediately behind the hay bale on the middle left. You'll end up with what looks like steps on the left side.

Repeating and expanding upon this procedure will let you build up bigger and better hay stacks. You can additionally change the colors of the hay bales used. In Farmville, the hay bales come in ten colors -- white, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, gray and black.

The different seasons and holidays throughout the year offer chances to create inspired designs. Have you considered a completely red heart for Valentine's Day? A lucky four-leaf clover would be a hit for St. Patrick's.
