Search Engine Optimization, commonly referred to in its abbreviated form as SEO, is increased by putting new content on your website. The information that is contained in your website will get indexed by search engines based off of keywords. This indexing system determines just what sites will appear and in what order they will do so on a search engine's result page. Traffic to your website will be increased if your website ranks high among the results for a given keyword.

Make a List of Keywords: A very important part of making your SEO higher is putting together a list of keywords. Programs available online like Wordtracker will let you know how many people are searching for what key words and phrases. If your website is about pet care, for instance, you can use online programs to find out what keywords and phrases and being most searched for.

Create Keyword Density: Once you develop your list of keywords, plan to use two to three of your chosen key words and phrases at least three times each within the body text. You can use other variations of those keyword throughout the page. Keyword density measures the amount of keywords used in content. Keep your content full of keywords yet natural looking to maximize your SEO.

Individual Keywords for Individual Pages: They keywords you use should be unique to each individual website you own and even to the separate pages that form parts of your website. A website where you can find lots of information about crafts, for example, would have different pages for separate topics like sewing and scrapbooking with their own specific keywords.

More is Better: Adding to the amount of content your website has is always a good thing. Content articles for your website should be at least 250 words long. Breaking down information into more manageable chunks of information will make your website more accessible.

Use Headings and Titles: When writing "keyword dense" content, it can be easy to sound like a broken record, repeating the same phrase over and over again. Use page titles, headings, and subheadings throughout your page.

Complete Ideas with Keywords: Instead of trying to write so as to include specific key words, write normally and then go back over what you have written, looking for place where you can insert keywords.

Keep Things Interesting: Remember that you want real people to end up reading what you have written. That means that your article needs to be interesting and of real value to the reader. Even if the article has lots of good information in it, if it is boring no one will want to read it.
